To put it simply, diversity matters but don’t just take our word for it, let’s look at the stats. New research makes it crystal clear that companies with a more diverse workforce perform better financially. In fact, companies in the top 25% for gender and ethnic diversity at the executive level are more likely to have above-average profitability than companies in the bottom 25%.

So, why aren’t we seeing more companies embracing it? We know that top-down leadership initiatives just aren’t enough. We need an array of voices from various backgrounds, body types, races, and genders to contribute to the conversation if we want to push the culture forward.

But it’s not enough to just listen and learn. We have to take action because there is real power in inclusion. That’s why we sat down with six strong women to understand what our responsibilities are to keep the needle moving forward and make inclusion the norm, not the exception.
